The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervision of associates in the domestic manufacturing facilities. Understanding and implementing business strategy by handling associate issues, maintaining various reports and documentation, implementing safety initiatives and supporting Carhartt’s Mission, Vision and company goals.

Associate Responsibilities
• Coach, mentor and develop team of direct reports.
• Prepares daily workflow and staffing demands for assigned area(s) and communicates to other supervisors and associates to meet established production goals.
• Support Plant Management by meeting production, safety, quality and efficiency goals.
• Investigates problems in the work areas and is responsible for timely reporting of the problems to appropriate personnel.
• Administer and communicate company policies and procedures with associates and enforce disciplinary actions as deemed necessary.
• Adhere to and understand the current labor agreement contract.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining safety, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance in assigned areas.
• Accurately maintain all necessary paperwork by reporting and documenting timely, this includes but not limited to: workforce, attendance, incident reports and near misses.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times with information obtained while performing job responsibilities.
• Collaborate and communicate with other Production Supervisors to achieve company goals.
• Actively support associates by assisting, answering and being readily available: including monitoring the assigned area as a whole.
• Conform to all requirements of internal and external Carhartt customers.
• Complete special projects as assigned.

Required Education
• Bachelor’s degree in, supply chain, or related field of study or equivalent years of experience
Required Skills & Experience
• 3 years industrial sewing experience preferred.
• 2 years leadership experience preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills. WMI experience is desirable.
