Supported Playgroup Officer

Permanent Part-Time - 7.6 hours per week (with flexible hours)

Band 5 – Starting from $80,410.06 + super (pro rata)

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a candidate with tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Health, Early Childhood/ Education or Community Development to help deliver outcomes in the Family, Youth and Children's Services Branch This may include:

• Planning and facilitating welcoming and engaging playgroups in the City of Yarra
• Modelling and supporting developmentally appropriate play experiences and parent/child interactions
• Being respectful, inclusive and mindful of diverse cultural and family structures and using flexible programming approaches that are responsive to individual family and child needs
• Networking and developing partnerships with key local stakeholders, internally within council and community support services to develop referral pathways for families
• Maintaining accurate records and information/data regarding supported playgroups
