Job Description

The Co-Group are seeking two experienced Support Workers for Evening Services in Cherrybrook, NSW. You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with varying needs. This position gives you the opportunity to provide compassionate support and assistance, ensuring that our clients can engage in meaningful activities and maintain their independence.

This position is for a 4–6 week period to provide coverage during emergency leave This role offers the opportunity to transition into ongoing casual employment for the right candidates. The successful candidate must be available Monday to Friday 3pm to 8pm, and weekends from either 4pm to 9pm or 5pm to 10pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete all tasks relevant to support work including anything from meal preparation to domestic assistance, community access and personal care.
  • Empower participants to achieve their goals and live as independently as possible
  • Be a trusted and reliable point of contact for participants and their families.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation such as shift notes, progress notes, behaviour charts and incident reports.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • NDISWC.
  • WWCC (for paid employment).
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence & access to a comprehensive insured car.
  • Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain).
  • Certificate III or higher in a relevant course (e.g. Individual Support / Disability).
  • Experience working with challenging behaviours.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Empathy and a genuine desire to help others.
