Job Description

Casual Support Worker. Glenelg.

Are you a person who understands what it feels like to want to live in your own home, and make personal decisions about your life.

I am 67 years old and very soon I will be living in my own home in the community for the first time in my life. This has been one of my life goals for a long time, so I am determined to make it successful.

I like going out for coffee. I love books, having my nails done, going into the city on the train and going shopping. I also enjoy spending quiet time playing games at home and making jewellery. These are just a few of my interests but I’m very happy to have different experiences and try new things.

My sisters and extended family are important to me, and family gatherings are something I value.

I'm now recruiting for people to join my team. There are multiple roles available, including a Key Worker position.

In the mix, I need one or two 'gal pals' so that I can get out and do women type stuff! Aside from that, a mixture of people from all walks of life is great for helping me build my best life.

If this sounds like your kind of job, please fill out the CLP application form, by clicking the application link.

Requirements for the role:

- a current First Aid Certificate;

- a current NDIS Worker clearance;

- a National Police Check;

- a certificate 2 or higher in Disability Support;

- a current certificate in Medication Management;

- a certificate in Manual Handling - more specific training will be provided on the job;

- a healthy level of fitness and mobility;

- experience in providing personal care;

- experience with Dysphasia is desirable but not essential - specific training will be provided.

Hours of Support:

Your hours of work will be determined once I decide whether you are a good match to support me both in my new home and in the community.

Anywhere between 6 and 25 hours per week is possible.

Location: Glenelg
