About the role

We are currently seeking applications for a Gardening & Home Maintenance support worker. This position aims to deliver gardening and maintenance services to seniors and NDIS clients, facilitating their ability to remain in their homes for an extended period, while also serving customers in the nearby areas.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in gardening is required;
  • Demonstrated previous experience in use of powered gardening equipment, such as self-propelled mowers, Brush cutters, Edgers, Hedge trimmers etc
  • Fantastic customer service skills;
  • Providing support and guidance to volunteers of varying skills and abilities;
  • A team player;
  • Good communication skills are written, interpersonal and verbal;
  • Basic computer and paperwork skills;
  • A safety-first approach to ensure safety and wellbeing of yourself, clients, and the team;
  • Willing and able to keep up with the demands of the physical demands of a gardening role;

Prerequisites

  • A NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to apply)
  • Current Drivers Licence with no restrictions
  • Rights to work in Australia
  • Current First Aid Certificate with 12 months or less currency (or willing to apply)
