Female Support Worker ( Enablement Associate)-Newbury

Location: Newbury

Hours per week:38

Shift Pattern: week 1 -Tuesday& Friday 7am-9pm/& Saturday wake night 9pm -7am -alternate

week 2-- Tuesday 7am-9pm ,Wednesday 7am-9pm & Saturday 9pm-7am -

Hourly rate: £14.15

Employment Type: Permanent

Drivers require with a full UK licence

About the role

I am a 28-year-old female, with a diagnosis of Autism, Developmental Delay and OCT Deficiency. I live in my own bespoke bungalow, in the Newbury area, and I am looking for enthusiastic and dynamic team members to work alongside me.

I love to take part in activities and celebrations of varying cultures. I like going to the theatre, watching movies at the cinema, going to museums and reading.

I am looking for people to support and enable me with my daily living skills, supporting me when I am anxious and help me through this, upholding my values and treating me as an individual.

My ideal team would consist of people who are caring and pro-active in supporting me with my daily living skills and promoting my independence.

PBS4 is a values led social care organisation, providing Neurodisability Services to individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health, Physical Disabilities and Complex Health Needs, and/or behaviours that may challenge. We support people living in their own homes, with their own tenancies, and we utilise Positive Behaviour Support as the framework for the support we provide.

At PBS4 we provide neurodisability services to adults in their own homes.

We operate across Hampshire, Dorset, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and other neighbouring counties, providing:

- support for people living in their own homes or in shared housing

- support for people to find and maintain suitable accommodation

- positive behaviour support, including specialist behaviour consultancy and training

- outreach and opportunities to participate in community activities

Our services are funded through contracts placed by local authorities. Some people have Personal Budgets and can purchase their own support.
