About the Role

As a FOCUS Connect Support Worker, you’ll be part of an organisation that genuinely cares — about our people, and the clients, families, and communities we support. You’ll provide practical support and genuine connection to older people in their homes and communities, empowering them to live safely, confidently, and independently.

Your day might include:

  • Offering companionship and emotional support
  • Assisting with daily living activities and meal preparation
  • Supporting medication reminders and personal care
  • Helping with light household tasks
  • Accompanying clients to appointments and community activities

Multiple locations to work at including:

South-West Sydney

• Liverpool–Holsworthy corridor: Moorebank, Hammondville, Wattle Grove

• Fairfield district: Fairfield, Smithfield, Bossley Park, Bonnyrigg, Weatherill Park

• Cabramatta & surrounds

• Camden, Campbelltown, Gregory Hills

What You Bring

  • A caring and empathetic nature
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience or interest in Aged Care (Cert III preferred)
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with people from all backgrounds

Requirements:

  • NSW Driver’s Licence + fully insured vehicle
  • Valid First Aid & CPR, National Police Check & WWCC clearance
  • Proof of Australian work rights
  • Smartphone (for rostering app use)

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, proficiency in Spanish, Arabic, Italian, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Greek, Tagalog is a plus, as it will allow us to better support individuals from diverse backgrounds.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
