The Role
We are seeking a Support Worker based at our Serenity Lodge site in Rockingham to provide
support and guidance to residents within the low medical withdrawal unit. This position requires maintaining an active, supportive presence within the unit to promote a safe and recovery-oriented
environment.
The Support Worker is responsible for delivering both practical support and case management to residents undergoing withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs. This includes working collaboratively with the clinical team to develop and implement appropriate treatment plans, facilitate referrals to external services, and assist in structured exit and aftercare plans to support residents in maintaining their recovery goals post-discharge.
In addition, the role involves the delivery of structured programs and activities within the unit. This includes facilitating educational and therapeutic group sessions and leading recreational and leisure activities that contribute to residents’ overall wellbeing and engagement in the unit.
The position is offered as part-time working 45 hours PFN.
