Essential Functions:
The Support Tech II job class includes a variety of roles. These includeoperatinga forklift supporting various manufacturing operations (machining, coating, assembly, shipping, receiving, and warehouse). The job class also includesrepackroles whichare responsible forpreparingsmallparts intoappropriate containersto be deliveredto the point of use on the assembly lines. There are also a variety of warehouse roles including receiving, shipping, and warehouse operations. These roles use forklifts,clamp lifts,and narrow aisle lift trucks to support various manufacturing operations.The narrow aisle lift trucks can go to a40-foot working height.
Daily tasks include indirect support of manufacturing operations for large and small part replenishment to the various machining cells, coating operations, and assembly lines. Equipment used to support manufacturing include sit down forklifts,clamp lifts,narrow aisle forklifts, and some manual lifting devices. Support Tech II employees are expected toparticipatein daily 5S+1 activitiesmaintaininga clean and organized work area to promote a safe work environment.
Support Tech II roles are critical to our company’s success as they keep parts in front of the various manufacturing functions throughout theplant,helping to meet daily production goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Forklift Operators– Delivery of large parts utilizinga powered industrial truck to various operations throughout Plant 15L Operators work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentutilizingradio communication and Mercury’s material replenishment system to deliver parts throughout the plant as requested to meet daily production needs. All drivers are expected to follow plant safety rules whilemaintaininga clean and organized work area utilizing 5S+1 principles. Operators willbe requiredto support various quality and productivity activities on an as needed basis.
Narrow AisleLift TruckOperators– PickandDeliveryof both bulk andsmall partsutilizingnarrow aisle lift truckstosupportoperations. Operators work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentutilizinga Kanban system and Mercury’s material replenishment system to replenish parts using leanmethodology All drivers are expected to follow plant safety rules whilemaintaininga clean and organized work area utilizing 5S+1 principles. Operators willbe requiredto support various quality and productivity activities on an as needed basis.
Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Operations–Operators work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to supportreplenishment of partsutilizinga variety of equipment to/from our warehouses to support daily manufacturing functions. Responsibilities include receiving parts fromour offsite warehouses, 3PL’s and suppliersutilizingMercury’s material flow systems, shipping parts to our offsite warehouses, 3PL’s,suppliers and manufacturing operationsandmaintainingmarkets to support internal needs. All employees are expected to follow plant safety rules whilemaintaininga clean and organized work area utilizing 5S+1 principles. Operators willbe requiredto support various quality and productivity activities on an as needed basis.
Experience and Skills:
Ability to drive material delivery equipment inawarehouseenvironment,training and certification will be provided. Prior forklift experience in awarehouseenvironment is a plus but notrequired Priormanufacturingexperience is a plus but notrequired General computer skills will berequiredfor all Support Tech IIjobs,training will be provided for the systems used within our operations. Prior experience using a Kanban delivery system is a plus but notrequired
The hiring rate for this position is $26.49hr
