Under the direction of the Site Director, Camp Counselors play an essential role in delivering a safe, engaging, and mission-driven camp program. You’ll provide direct supervision, lead activities, build positive relationships, and help foster a fun and inclusive environment where children grow in confidence, friendship, and character.

What You’ll Do
- Provide direct supervision of an assigned group of campers throughout the camp day
- Assist in leading daily activities including rotations, lunch, swimming supervision, and theme days
- Maintain YMCA program standards for safety, cleanliness, and risk management
- Follow all YMCA policies related to medical situations, behavior management, child abuse prevention, and emergency response
- Build positive, professional relationships with campers, families, and staff
- Help create a structured, inclusive, and fun camp environment
- Greet campers and families warmly at arrival and dismissal
- Collaborate closely with the Site Director and fellow camp staff

Qualifications
- Entering first year of college or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience working with children in camp, education, athletics, or youth development settings
- Ability to serve as a positive role model and demonstrate strong character
