This exciting role provides a procurement service to the laboratories andfield-basedfunctions.As part of thisroleyou’llliaise with suppliers of services to the laboratory and samplingfunctions andprovide a facilities service for the laboratories.
Key responsibilities
Procurement activities including SAP ordering,monitoringof temporary staff contracts/orders, and day to day operation of contracts for the supply of lab chemicals and equipment
Ensure efficiencies inordering andlookingat internal processeswhereneededfor improvement
Be the first point of contact to deal with any enquiries relating to ordering or delivery of goods and / or services
Maintain SAP in line with training and guidance
Vendor management andcontact whererequired
Reportsfor keyvendors andspend management
Look atKPIs andhelp troubleshootbottleneck areas
Provide support to theOperational Support Managerby
Deal with general lab service queries
Ensure all visitors to site are signed in and supervised during their visit
Prepare meeting rooms and ensure all consumables are available
Make staff aware of deliveries

Able to communicate with people at all levels
Reliable and committed
Able to deal with answering account queries, processing payments and being an excellent first point of contact
Ideally you will be SAP trained
Ability to help customers over the phone and in person
Able to prioritise effectively
Accuratedata input into various databases and spreadsheets
Confident telephone manner
Ideally anunderstanding ofa Laboratory environment
