About us

Apprenticeship Support Australia (ASA) in partnership with the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has been awarded the Australian Government’s contract to support apprenticeships and traineeships in South Australia and Tasmania for 2024 – 2026.

ASA is excited to leverage our 26 years of apprenticeship support through enhanced services to further improve retention, completion and satisfaction rates for apprentices and their employers. ASA will continue to provide free quality end-to-end advice and assistance, ensuring a clear understanding for apprentices and employers on how to access quality support when needed throughout their apprenticeship or traineeship.

Apprenticeships and traineeships play a vital role in the Australian Vocational Educational and Training system. They contribute significantly to the Australian economy by bridging the gap between individuals career aspirations and employer’s skills requirements. These apprenticeships provide opportunities for people to receive training, pursue studies and earn an income across a diverse range of occupations. ASA is proud to be a national contributor to this vital system.

About the role

The Support Services Administrator is responsible for supporting Australian Apprentices (AA) and employers claim entitlements under the Commonwealth incentives program and other personal support programs as well managing the lodgement of Apprenticeship Training Contracts, handling inbound calls related to routine enquiries from AAs and employers on various matter and performing other administrative/processing tasks.

About you

This position is well suited to an organised individual who can work autonomously as well as part of a team, thrives in a busy environment and has the ability to build rapport with various internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you will have:

  • Proficient skills in MS Office, and the ability to use external computer-based databases.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role
  • The ability to adhere to timeframes and meet deadlines
  • Strong customer service skills and an excellent telephone manner
  • Clear and impactful communication capabilities.
  • The ability to interpret guidelines and procedures
  • Understanding and applying Government guidelines and related VET legislation would be highly regarded.
