We’re a new, growing organisation—full of energy, ambition, and purpose. As part of our team, you’ll play an important role in helping us shape high-quality, efficient services that people rely on every single day.

This is more than just a job. This is a fantastic opportunity to support, and give back to, your local community.

We currently have an opportunity to join our Public Realm service area as a Support Officer.

Your role:

You will provide high-quality customer service and administrative support, dealing with enquiries in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner whether facetoface, over the phone, or via email. You should have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and be able to perform effectively under pressure while managing a high volume of calls and correspondence. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to relay information clearly, concisely, and efficiently.

A key part of this varied role involves responding to customer feedback, including compliments and comments, and ensuring all complaints are managed in accordance with company policies and within agreed timescales. You will work closely with colleagues across our Public Realm service area, primarily supporting the Grounds Maintenance team, but also includes our Building Cleaning team. You’ll also liaise with other departments and external clients, making it essential to build and maintain positive working relationships and communicate effectively with Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Operatives.

A strong understanding of GDPR is essential to ensure accurate recordkeeping and the appropriate handling of information to maintain compliance.

What you will need:

  • Proven experience of working within a varied administrative role
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively whilst working to tight deadlines
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Good understanding of GDPR regulations
  • Be an effective communicator and hold excellent organisational skills
  • 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above) or equivalent which include English Language and Mathematics.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or Customer Services (or equivalent) or considerable experience in similar role
