About the role
We’re looking for a part-time café team member for our Rivervale Support Office to complement our existing team. This role is perfect for someone who has an interest in café operations, food and drinks, and enjoy working in a friendly, fast‑paced environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with food and drinks, thrive in a customer‑focused environment, and takes pride in delivering great service.
Previous café or hospitality experience is highly advantageous, particularly experience with customer service, food handling or coffee preparation. Barista experience is a bonus, but not essential. What’s most important is a positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn – full training will be provided.
This part‑time role is Monday to Friday, with flexible roster arrangements between the hours of 6am and 5pm.
What's involved
Greet and serve customers with a friendly and positive attitude
Ability to engage with a variety and diverse range of people
Prepare and serve coffee, tea and other beverages
Prepare and serve both hot and cold food items
Assist with food preparation and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café
Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system
Support the Café Manager with daily operations and catering requests
Who we’re looking for
Our ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and loves being in a customer‑facing role, delivering great service to our support team and visitors.
Previous café or hospitality experience is highly regarded
An ability to achieve results and standards by working with your team and leaders
Approachable and confident when interacting with customers
An eagerness to learn new skills and products
Comfortable being on your feet and assisting customers across the required span of hours
