Job Description

Support Engineer – Rolling Stock Engineering (Ref. 260000FM)

Responsibilities

  • Undertake design tasks and provide technical support for engineering vehicles (rolling stock) with emphasis on mechanical system.
  • Provide technical solutions, assist in design changes, developing technical and working drawings for implementation, conducting studies and proposing recommendations for a safe, reliable and efficient system of Engineering Vehicles
  • Coordinate technical interface between new engineering vehicles and existing systems and work with internal and external stakeholders
  • Compile technical specifications, review design submissions, attend factory tests and site inspections as well as support testing and commissioning activities
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant design experience
  • Solid experience in rolling stock design and project management is an advantage
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin)
Remarks
  • Occasional business travel may be required
  • Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms
