The Program
The Aftercare service offers support by focusing on providing practical psychosocial assistance to individuals experiencing a suicidal crisis or those who have attempted suicide. The aim is to prevent suicide by offering care and practical support that fosters safety and aids in recovery
About your new role
As a Support Coordinator, you'll play a key part in intake and assessment processes, supporting individuals referred to Wellways. Your role will involve delivering non-clinical care and personalized practical assistance to consumers and their families for the first three months following a suicide attempt.
In this vital position, you will help Aftercare participants develop safety and support plans and provide guidance to ensure they remain connected to crucial services during this critical period.
Leveraging your expertise, you'll engage with vulnerable groups out in the community and enhancing social connections.

Wellways Australia is a leading national mental health and disability support organisation with services in Queensland, ACT, NSW, Victoria and Tasmania.
We work with a diverse range of people, their families and carers to identify needs and goals to build good lives in the community This includes creating a home, getting a job and building meaningful relationships.
We also deliver services to people with multiple, complex needs and often do this in partnership with clinical services, health support agencies and government.
