
The Way Back Support Service (TWBSS) is a suicide after-care program designed to provide practical, compassionate support to people who have been discharged from hospital following a suicide attempt or crisis. The program aims to reduce the risk of suicide by offering coordinated, person-centred care that promotes safety, connection, and hope.
As a Support Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in supporting people referred to Wellways by the North Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) and the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (C&HHHS).

You’re a compassionate, proactive professional who is confident engaging with people in crisis and helping them access the right supports. You bring a strong understanding of suicide prevention and mental health recovery, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
