Are you passionate about supporting people with severe autism and complex needs? If so, we have vacancies within our Autism Specialist Day Service supporting adults with severe autism, learning disabilities, behaviours that may challenge, sensory needs, and communication difficulties.

Our service provides highly individualised support tailored to each person’s assessed needs, communication style, sensory profile, and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans. Support may include 2:1, 1:1 staffing and shared support arrangements to ensure residents receive safe, consistent, and meaningful care.

We provide a wide range of structured community and building-based activities designed to promote emotional well-being, communication, independence, life skills, and social inclusion. Activities are adapted to meet individual sensory and behavioural needs and may include swimming, walking groups, music sessions, sensory activities, yoga, cycling, and therapeutic engagement etc.

We support residents using a person-centred, strengths-based approach, recognising everyone’s abilities, preferences, routines, and goals. Staff work closely with families, professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure residents receive consistent and high-quality support.

We are looking for highly motivated, patient, and compassionate staff who are committed to improving the quality of life of people with severe autism. Successful candidates will be expected to support residents both within the service and in the wider community, including visits to parks, museums, leisure centres, and other places of interest, while promoting safety, dignity, communication, and independence always.

Experience or understanding of autism, sensory needs, communication support, and Positive Behaviour Support approaches would be highly desirable.
