We are looking for an experienced and skilled Support Assistant to provide comprehensive administration support to the Community Education Worker, Management Committee, and wider Community Learning & Development team in a Community Centre setting, acting as the focal point for staff, centre users, and visitors. The postholder will be responsible for responding to changes in procedures and IT systems and for ensuring the effective day-to-day running of the office. As a Support Assistant, you will work under the direction and supervision of the Support Officer/Community Education Worker.
The Person
You are required to have a minimum of 4 qualifications at SCQF level 4, including English and Maths (e.g. National 4, Standard Grades at General Level or O grades).
You will have:
Experience of working in a public facing role,
Excellent customer service skills,
Ability to effectively use IT applications and demonstrate experience of non-standard corporate systems,
The ability to apply effective time management and organisational skills to manage workload,
Experience and confidence handling cash, preparing income and expenditure reports,
Although not essential, experience of using Oracle Procurement is desirable,
Experience of using management information systems,
Although not essential an understanding of the work CLD do in the community is desirable,
Experience and knowledge of office systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and the use of social media through Our Levenmouth predominantly.
An awareness of confidentiality is essential, along with how you might handle this type of information in a secure and safe manner.
You are required to have good levels of interpersonal skills to enable you to work as part of a team or on your own as required.
