
Business Support Officer - Child Employment and Entertainment Team | 10197 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £25,583 to £25,989 per annum | Grade D | County Hall, Norwich
An opportunity to be part of an innovative team that makes a difference to the education and safeguarding of children in Norfolk. Working in our service will give you the opportunity to play a key role in regulating activity and providing support so that children are safeguarded when participating in employment and entertainment activities, and their education is not negatively impacted.
Working alongside a range of services within the Council as well as external organisations, the successful candidate will work with the Senior Child Employment and Entertainment Officer to ensure that the Local Authority discharges its statutory duties in relation to child employment and the licensing of children who take part in performances. The post holder will be responsible for the administration of the procedures for issuing work permits, Child Performance Licences and Chaperone Licences, ensuring that these processes are efficient and comply with regulatory and legislative requirements.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and well organised person with experience of delivering regulatory functions who is able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and IT skills. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, demonstrate initiative, have the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and be able to work under pressure and prioritise workloads.
