WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
ABS is seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals with hands-on experience in warehouse or supply operations. Ideal candidates have experience receiving, checking, storing, issuing, and inventorying stock; working with warehouse management systems; operating stock-handling equipment; and providing reliable internal customer service in a fast-paced supply environment.
This position may be underfilled as a Supply Technician II, Grade 12
These positions are responsible for receiving supplies or fulfilling the supply needs of a requesting party, which may entail checking conditions, quantities and sizes of items or researching product lines, cross-referencing parts/materials manufactured by two or more manufacturers, and providing recommendations for substitute parts/materials.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
This position REQUIRES possession of a valid driver's license from applicant's state of residence, and the ability to drive a county vehicle to pick up and deliver supplies to various locations.
Schedule: Evening Shift: 4:30pm start time
Forklift certification or ability to successfully complete certification training within the first 6 months of employment is required. If candidate has not already obtained the referenced Forklift training and certification at hire, the selected candidate will be required to obtain the referenced training and certification within the first six (6) months of employment. The incumbent of the position must maintain this certification during employment.
A criminal background check will be conducted on the selected candidate prior to appointment and will be a significant factor in the hiring decision.
If filled at Supply Technician II, Grade 12 level:
Experience One (1) year of experience in storekeeping that includes researching, ordering, receiving, checking, stocking, inventorying and issuing supply items applicable to the department/agency to which the position is assigned.
If filled at Supply Technician III, Grade 13 level:
Experience Two (2) years of experience in storekeeping that includes researching, ordering, receiving, checking, stocking, inventorying and issuing supply items applicable to the department/agency to which the position is assigned.
Education Graduation from high school or possession of a High School Certificate of Completion recognized in the State of Maryland.
Equivalency An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
