Job Description

Coloplast Manufacturing Portugal operates a centralized supply system that ensures the efficient delivery of chemicals and treated water to the production areas, including Ultra-Filtered Water, Purified Water, Polyethylene Glycol (PEG), and coating.

The Supply Systems Support Engineer (Production Support for Mixing and Water Systems) provides day-to-day operational support to the supply systems, helping to ensure the reliable delivery of materials and utilities required for production. The role involves supporting production activities according to supply chain requirements, assisting with maintenance and improvement projects, troubleshooting operational issues, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to the training of technicians. The position requires a strong focus on EHS, quality standards, compliance with procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational safety, cleanliness, and good housekeeping within the production area, maintaining work routines in line with established KPIs and procedures.
• Support Supply Systems activities across multiple functions, including technical operations, facilities, planning, quality and supply chain.
• Liaise with relevant departments to ensure adequate support for production and supply system activities.
• Supervise and coordinate personnel according to production and maintenance requirements.
• Ensure the readiness and reliability of facilities, equipment and systems to meet supply demands, including cleaning, maintenance and calibration activities.
• Ensure the availability of production work orders, labels, printed materials and other resources required for operations.
• Ensure the execution of batch processes and the completion of all required production records.
• Manage quality-related documentation, including non-conformities (NCs), CAPAs, investigations and associated records.
• Maintain and support test methods required to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Monitor and follow up on operational activities, ensuring adherence to established processes and timelines.
• Identify, propose, and support improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reliability, quality and safety.
• Participate in the preparation of safety reports, accident investigations, communications, training activities, personnel development initiatives, and audits.
• Support Supply system specialist on the planning of the training plan and implementation of the supply systems areas.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings where Supply Systems input, support or representation is required.
• Support all project management related to facility and Supply Systems, such as, quality assurance, documentation update, project tracking, stockholders management.

Safety

• Review and fulfil any regulatory or EHS documentation needed for the daily work.
• Supervise safe execution of activities performed by suppliers and ensure proper work permits are completed, approved, executed, closed, and archived.
• Enforcing work safety, and Coloplast values.
• Performing their job in compliance with the guidelines given
• Drawing attention to inefficiency of the systems

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with scientific background: Chemical, Biomedical, Pharmaceutical or another relevant field
• Experience in at least some of the following areas
• Water treatments systems such as purified water, ultrafiltered water and softener systems
• Chemical storages in ATEX zones
• Mixing plant of production of chemicals.
• Strong Teamwork abilities and communication skills
• Be able to share knowledge into other team members
• Oriented to customer service and proactive
• English level: B2 or above.

• Equipment maintenance knowledge
• Ability to supervise technical and production teams
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Knowledge of MS Office
