Position Summary
UpSlope is seeking an experienced Supply Specialist to support U.S. Army Central (USARCENT) G4 logistics operations at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina.
The Supply Specialist will provide supply chain management, inventory accountability, logistics coordination, and operational support to help ensure equipment, supplies, and materials are properly managed and available to support mission requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Army or Department of Defense (DoD) supply operations, a strong understanding of military logistics procedures, and the ability to maintain accurate supply records in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support USARCENT G4 supply and logistics operations, ensuring effective management and accountability of supplies, equipment, and organizational property.
- Assist with tracking, coordinating, and maintaining supply requirements across supported units and staff sections.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, supply documentation, equipment accountability reports, and related logistics data.
- Support requisitioning, receiving, issuing, transferring, and tracking supplies and equipment.
- Monitor supply requests, shipment status, shortages, and backorders to help ensure operational readiness.
- Assist with property accountability, hand receipts, inventory reconciliations, and equipment inspections.
- Coordinate with military personnel, supply representatives, logistics staff, and other stakeholders to resolve supply-related issues.
- Prepare supply status reports, inventory summaries, spreadsheets, and briefings for G4 leadership.
- Identify supply discrepancies, shortages, and potential logistical challenges and recommend corrective actions.
- Support supply planning activities related to exercises, operational requirements, and mission readiness.
- Ensure supply records and processes align with applicable Army and DoD policies and procedures.
- Assist with improving supply tracking, reporting, and accountability processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Previous experience in military supply operations, logistics, inventory management, property accountability, or a closely related field.
- Working knowledge of Army or DoD supply procedures, logistics operations, and equipment accountability practices.
- Experience maintaining inventory records, supply documentation, or property accountability systems.
- Ability to track supply requirements, identify discrepancies, and coordinate resolutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple logistical requirements.
- Active SECRET security clearance required.
- Ability to work full-time on-site at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting an Army G4, S4, sustainment command, or military logistics organization.
- Experience with Army supply and property accountability systems, such as Global Combat Support System–Army (GCSS-Army).
- Familiarity with Army supply regulations, including AR 710-2 and AR 735-5.
- Experience with cyclic inventories, hand receipts, property book management, and supply reconciliation.
- Experience supporting military exercises, deployments, or operational logistics activities.
- Familiarity with supply readiness reporting and logistics information management.
- Prior military service or civilian experience supporting Army supply operations.
Work Environment
This position supports USARCENT Headquarters at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina.
- Full-time, on-site position.
- Standard working hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
- Work involves coordination with Army personnel, DoD civilians, and contractor support staff.
- Occasional travel may be required depending on mission needs.
Security Requirements
Candidates must possess and maintain an active SECRET security clearance and meet applicable installation and government systems access requirements.
