Job Description
Under general supervision, the Supply Planning Coordinator – Level II determines the quantity and timing of materials required to meet the master production schedule or independent customer demand. This role is responsible for initiating and expediting purchase or production orders, ensuring material availability, supporting supplier performance, and balancing supply with demand to achieve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The position plays a critical role in maintaining supply continuity, minimizing inventory risks, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Planning & Delivery
- Determine material requirements and initiate purchase or work orders to support demand plans and production schedules.
- Expedite purchase and production orders to ensure on-time material availability.
- Reconcile order boards for critical suppliers, parts, and past-due orders on a routine basis.
- Provide timely and accurate updates on inventory availability, shortages, and backorder recovery plans.
- Support allocation discussions with sourcing teams, suppliers, and other Cummins entities to manage supply constraints and risks.
- Work with suppliers to optimize lead times and order quantities while balancing supply and demand.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Planners to reposition excess inventory to locations with active demand.
- Manage part change requests, engineering changes, and ramp-up/ramp-down activities to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
- Take ownership of supplier schedules to ensure they align with end customer requirements.
- Support supplier improvement initiatives to enhance delivery and performance metrics.
Materials & Inventory Management
- Perform quality checks on material planning master data, including lead times, order quantities, and other planning parameters.
- Apply Plan for Every Part (PFEP) principles to ensure the right part is delivered at the right time, quantity, and location.
- Support master supply scheduling to align procurement, replenishment, and production activities.
- Monitor and analyze materials-related KPIs to identify performance gaps and drive continuous improvement.
- Use materials planning systems and analytical tools to manage supply and demand plans and resolve exception messages.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Report work-related injuries, incidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions promptly.
- Comply with Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards, policies, and regulations.
- Participate in required HSE and compliance training.
- Follow standard work procedures, process documentation, and quality requirements.
- Partner with Quality teams to resolve non-conforming materials in a timely manner.
- Ensure adherence to process controls and compliance requirements, including export control or sanctions regulations where applicable.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and global stakeholders.
- Document, communicate, and follow up on action items affecting plan execution.
- Participate in process, quality, safety, and material flow improvement initiatives.

- Remain flexible and perform additional duties as needed to support business priorities.
Skills
- Strong supply planning and materials coordination knowledge.
- Working knowledge of materials planning systems and ERP tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions/macros), Power BI, and SQL for analytics and reporting.
- Ability to analyze supply chain KPIs and generate actionable insights.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Knowledge of PFEP, inventory management, and master scheduling principles.
- Effective stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Experience
- Requires relevant work experience in supply planning, materials planning, logistics, procurement, or supply chain operations.
- Intermediate-level knowledge gained through formal training or hands-on experience in supply chain processes.
- Experience working with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams preferred.
- Experience in analytics, reporting, and data visualization is advantageous.
- Exposure to manufacturing or industrial supply chain environments is preferred.

Additional information
- Working in APAC shift IST 6:30 AM- 3:30 PM, Hybrid working 3 days working from office.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, secondary education completion certificate, or equivalent experience required.
- Additional education in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related fields is preferred.
