Mission:

You will join the Supply Chain & Logistics department and as a Supply Planner in the Makro structure, you will report directly to the Supply Chain Coordinator, where your main mission will be optimize stock levels and ensure a sustainable stock availability for Stores and Distribution Centers, at the same time, ensuring quantity order vs. received are in line with our requirements and needs.

Responsabilities:

  • Analyze the order system proposals and optimize them to align with the needs of stores and distribution centres, as well as suppliers' requirements;
  • Oversee and manage purchase orders to ensure stock availability and maintain healthy stock days (excessive stock reductions vs unvailability) for both stores and distribution centres, contributing to free cash flow optimization;
  • Coordinate and request orders for stores based on their specific needs, considering supplier minimum requirements, delivery schedules, and platform timings;
  • Manage and ensure continuous improvement of purchase order parameters such as minimum order quantities (MOQ), minimum presentation stock, and additional coverage, in order to guarantee efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and ultimately automation;
  • Ensure that quantities predicted in the demand planning forecast meet the needs of both stores and distribution centres, and make quantity adjustments as needed to align with demand fluctuations;
  • Conduct daily follow-ups on supplier service levels, understanding the reasons behind any gaps to ensure delivery times align with business needs;
  • Address stock shortages or excess inventory by implementing short-term actions such as inter-store transfers and returns to suppliers, making data-driven decisions to ensure cost efficiency;
  • Identify stock-outs in the assortment and manage them by liaising with suppliers to expedite orders;
  • Periodically analyze, suggest, and adjust minimum stock levels for stores, considering business needs, seasonal factors, and supply chain disruptions;

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management, or Industrial Engineering;
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in similar roles;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Solid experience with MS Office tools;
  • Strong analytical skills, organization, and attention to detail;
  • Good communication and negotiation skills with different stakeholders.
