About the role

Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager, your key focus will be managing the flow of Lamb products from our suppliers into stores. You will work cross-functionally across the meat portfolio with merchandise, quality teams, and multiple suppliers to deliver excellent in-store availability, quality and freshness.

You will drive end to end efficiencies in your portfolio through optimising order plans to meet anticipated demand and minimise waste. As a Supply Planner, you will also have the opportunity to work cross-functionally to develop innovative solutions for supply chain operational issues across supply and distribution.

Your key activities:

  • Influence and work cross functionally with providers and supply chain operations to improve freshness and availability.
  • Proactively seek and identify opportunities to improve the end-to-end supply chain and manage the implementation of initiatives.
  • Ensure awareness of current trade plans and promotional activity, and drive close alignment with demand forecasting teams
  • Deliver supply performance KPIs and prepare contingency plans in the event of supply disruption or demand fluctuations
  • Partner with internal logistics and quality teams to ensure supplier conformance with our delivery standards, optimal stock rotation within our sites, and to ensure great service to our stores.

You will also have:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Supply Planning role, with developed planning and analytical skills
  • Experience managing and maintaining optimal stock levels, and in responding to changing demand forecasts
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, to effectively manage multiple priorities, and to proactively communicate with team members about evolving issues and constraints
  • Advanced problem-solving capability, with the demonstrated ability to work closely and empathetically with multiple suppliers to understand their businesses and mitigate supply risks
  • Understanding of fresh supply chains and replenishment, forecasting and warehouse management system parameters and how they impact inbound and outbound service
  • Strong negotiation skills, and a working understanding of standard supply agreements
  • Good communication skills, catering for a variety of stakeholders including small, large, domestic and overseas suppliers, and internal stakeholders
