Supply Planner

IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY

The main function of Procurement Planner is to be executed in accordance with MRP demand and guarantee and ensure material is available with the right stock, right transport mode, right time to support production plans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute procurement in accordance with MRP demand Ensures raw materials inventories are at agreed targets. Escalate issues in timely manner to procurement manager. Address SAP daily alerts. Inform team members of potential and real shortages of raw materials in advance of incident responsible for expediting coordination from supplier to production line. Assure weekly releases are successfully transmitted to suppliers. Assure suppliers adhere to transportation routing instructions and premium costs are minimized when they occur.

Execute procurement in accordance with MRP demand Ensures raw materials inventories are at agreed targets Ensure follow up and final attainment.

Follow and execute engineering changes, SOPs and EOPs with master scheduler, Engineering and Quality Department.

Communicate ramp up/down plan to suppliers and obtain delivery confirmations.

Alert master scheduler of any error message on mrp exist in the system,

Attend monthly SIOPs, communicate supplier delivery and supply risks provide action plans to mitigate issues.

Accountable for supplier delivery to 100% on time.

Participate in evaluation of suppliers, assure potential contract, supplier capacity and delivery problems are addressed before they impact Gentherm operations.

Report monthly on new slow moving and obsolescence risks.

Process PFA approvals in timely manner and charges are communicated to suppliers or customers as applicable.

Document and assure organization is informed monthly of high dollar

Ensures suppliers are held accountable for costs of poor delivery. Motivate suppliers to recognize GTHM as a valuable customer, to understand GTHM needs and technical interfaces.

Develop proposals to improve/streamline activities in respective areas.

Assure departmental goals and KPIs are being met, PDCAs, 8 Ds, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional Degree plus 2 years of experience in equivalent role.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish 100%
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Experience in dealing with suppliers
  • SAP /ERP system knowledge
  • MRP/MPS knowledge
  • Office (advanced excel) knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong teambuilding

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge
  • Quality Management System (IATF 16949)
  • Environmental Management System (ISO 14001)
  • Safety Management System (ISO 45001)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish 100%
