Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Demand Planning, MRP, Customer Services, and Factory Operations to make decisions that balance customer service, inventory, and cost performance.

Planning & Scheduling Develop and manage a 12-week capacity plan and a 2-week production schedule to meet service levels, balancing efficiency with customer needs.
Operational Excellence Represent planning in daily factory reviews, monitor stock levels to prevent shortages, and attend monthly planning meetings to align capacity with market demand.
Inventory & Waste Management Achieve inventory targets, use analytics to reduce overproduction, eliminate dead stock, and minimize waste from raw materials and finished goods.
System & Data Integrity Maintain accurate master data in planning systems, ensure automation, and regularly update planning documents and principles in collaboration with central teams.
Collaboration & Development Demonstrate positive behaviors, support cross-functional roles, engage in site visits, show flexibility, and contribute to projects beyond core duties.
Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning processes.
Some supply planning experience in FMCG (advantageous).
IT literate with strong spreadsheet skills (e.g., Excel).
Highly numerate and analytical.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to prioritise and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Confidence to influence and negotiate at senior levels.
Happy to travel occasionally within the UK to manufacturing sites, Distribution Centre and our Head Office located in Chiswick Park, London to build relationships with colleagues.
Experience in FMCG or retail, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Understanding of Sales & Operational Planning processes.
Any experience of using SAP or Citrix OMP is desirable but not essential as we can offer training.
Knowledge of factory production processes and capabilities.
Appreciation of business drivers and key performance metrics.
Understanding of master data principles.
This role offers an agile 3:2 working pattern; three days in the office and two days from home.
1st stage interview – 45 minutes competency-based interview based on our company values and your experiences.
2nd stage interview – 60 minutes – a technical interview to understand your skill set/case study or presentation interview.
pladis does also use both Psychometric and Aptitude tests to support our processes so you may be asked to complete these as part of your process. Some processes may differ, but we will keep you updated!
