Opportunity Overview
Teradyne’s Supply Base Management (SBM) group is hiring a Supply Line Engineer to support New Product Introduction (NPI) teams focused on printed circuit boards (PCBs) used in advanced test and measurement systems.
In this role, you will enable product design through the development of a global PCB supply base capable of supporting complex, high‑reliability designs while meeting strict quality, cost, and schedule requirements. You will work closely with design engineering, operations, and suppliers to ensure manufacturability, scalability, and long‑term supply continuity.
Preferred Qualifications
All About You
You are a senior‑level Supply Line Engineer who can build and manage a global PCB supply base that supports advanced technologies (HDI, high‑layer count, controlled impedance, high‑speed/RF). You excel at identifying supply chain risks—technology, capacity, quality, geographic, and single‑source—and developing mitigation strategies that protect operations while enabling innovation.
You ensure PCB suppliers can meet engineering requirements for materials, stack‑ups, fabrication processes, and test capabilities, while also providing the capacity and flexibility needed for production ramps. You lead the technical side of supplier audits and qualifications, evaluating capabilities, process controls, reliability, and throughput.
You recognize high‑risk PCB components, technologies, and suppliers during NPI and partner with commodity teams and design engineering to create avoidance or mitigation plans, including alternate sourcing. You work hands‑on with suppliers to execute complex part qualifications—from stack‑up validation and impedance control to DFM/DFA and reliability testing.
You collaborate globally with Supplier Quality Engineers to resolve PCB reliability and quality issues, driving root cause analysis and continuous improvement. You manage supplier tooling, testing, and inspection processes to ensure strong quality gates for high‑volume manufacturing. You also guide engineering teams on mainstream and emerging PCB technologies to support product performance, reliability, cost targets, and sourcing decisions.
We are only considering candidates local to position location or candidates who are willing to relocate at their own expense. We are unable to provide relocation for this position.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
