This is responsible work in the operation and administration of a storeroom
An employee in a position allocated to this classification is responsible for receiving, recording, storing, and issuing a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies, including those of a specialized nature
maintaining records and accountability for store items
servicing and maintaining equipment
and recommending the purchase of equipment and supplies.
Work Is performed under the supervision of a higher level employee who issues instruction regarding matters of policy and reviews work for achievement of desired results
checks incoming materials for quantity and quality against invoices or purchase orders reporting discrepancies to a supervisor;
issues supplies on approved requisitions
prepares and maintains a perpetual inventory system for all storeroom and laboratory supplies and equipment;
assembles, packs, and arranges for transport all stored goods and materials
Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
Regular and prompt attendance
Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
Related duties as assigned
Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.
High School Diploma or equivalent. and 1 year clerical and/or storekeeping, stocking, or related experience. Required
Receiving, storing, shipping, and/or stocking experience is Preferred
Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
