  • Reconcile import data between trade statistics and ERP systems

  • Track volumes against permits and support annual permit applications

Fuel Exports

  • Work with clearing and shipping agents to manage customs documentation

  • Track outstanding documents and follow up with stakeholders

  • Review export documentation and initiate corrections when required

  • Reconcile export data and track volumes against permits

  • Produce monthly export compliance reporting and dashboards

Kerosene & Jet (SOS activities)

  • Track and validate required documentation for regulated fuel movements

  • Reconcile imports, removals, and excise entries in per tank licensing requirements

Compliance & Controls

  • Maintain accurate compliance logs and support monthly operational reviews

  • Track, report, and share insights on near misses, incidents, and lessons learned

  • Support the creation of automated compliance dashboards

  • Help implement corrective actions and contribute to root cause analyses

  • Keep process maps up to date and communicate changes clearly

Collaboration & Governance

  • Build strong relationships with Tax, Finance, ARC (Assurance, Risk & Control), FBT, and clearing agents

  • Support Indirect Tax Compliance Framework (ITCF) compliance by gathering and validating control evidence

  • Contribute to audits, reviews, and ongoing improvements in compliance frameworks

  • Provide support to related teams when needed

About You

  • Strong experience in indirect tax compliance, auditing, or a similar field

  • Experience working in large, complex organisations

  • Strong understanding of tax compliance and commercial processes

  • Confident working with stakeholders across different teams and levels

  • Comfortable analysing data, spotting issues, and improving processes

  • Highly organised, detail‑focused, and proactive

  • Strong communication skills — you can explain issues and solutions clearly

Skills & Experience

  • Strong Excel and general MS Office skills

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capability

  • Experience with compliance frameworks, controls, or ITCF

  • Ability to influence and collaborate across teams

  • Knowledge of South African oil industry regulations is an advantage

  • Experience improving processes and reducing complexity is highly valued
