Supply Compliance Analyst
We’re looking for a Supply Compliance Analyst to join our Midstream team.
In this role, you’ll help us stay compliant, improve how we work, and make sure everything we do meets tax and commercial requirements. You’ll act as a key control point — spotting risks early, improving processes, and sharing insights that help the business operate compliantly and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
You’ll play a central role in keeping our import, export, and compliance processes accurate and aligned with regulations:
Fuel Imports
Lead twice‑weekly import meetings with key stakeholders
Review import documentation for accuracy and completeness before submission
Ensure compliance with all documentary requirements and request corrections where needed
Reconcile import data between trade statistics and ERP systems
Track volumes against permits and support annual permit applications
Fuel Exports
Work with clearing and shipping agents to manage customs documentation
Track outstanding documents and follow up with stakeholders
Review export documentation and initiate corrections when required
Reconcile export data and track volumes against permits
Produce monthly export compliance reporting and dashboards
Kerosene & Jet (SOS activities)
Track and validate required documentation for regulated fuel movements
Reconcile imports, removals, and excise entries in per tank licensing requirements
Compliance & Controls
Maintain accurate compliance logs and support monthly operational reviews
Track, report, and share insights on near misses, incidents, and lessons learned
Support the creation of automated compliance dashboards
Help implement corrective actions and contribute to root cause analyses
Keep process maps up to date and communicate changes clearly
Collaboration & Governance
Build strong relationships with Tax, Finance, ARC (Assurance, Risk & Control), FBT, and clearing agents
Support Indirect Tax Compliance Framework (ITCF) compliance by gathering and validating control evidence
Contribute to audits, reviews, and ongoing improvements in compliance frameworks
Provide support to related teams when needed
About You
Strong experience in indirect tax compliance, auditing, or a similar field
Experience working in large, complex organisations
Strong understanding of tax compliance and commercial processes
Confident working with stakeholders across different teams and levels
Comfortable analysing data, spotting issues, and improving processes
Highly organised, detail‑focused, and proactive
Strong communication skills — you can explain issues and solutions clearly
Skills & Experience
Strong Excel and general MS Office skills
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capability
Experience with compliance frameworks, controls, or ITCF
Ability to influence and collaborate across teams
Knowledge of South African oil industry regulations is an advantage
Experience improving processes and reducing complexity is highly valued
