This position provides support to the LATAM Supply Chain organization. This position will be responsible for the Terumo BCT Warehouse, Logistics, and Transportation organization. The position oversees the flow of goods and materials, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations. The assigned position includes but is not limited to the essential duties and responsibilities defined below.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Responsible for managing and monitoring warehouse, logistics, and transportation activities for Terumo BCT.
  • Responsible of directs implementation of plans for warehouse, logistics, and transportation to achieve cross-functional goals.
  • Responsible for managing both third-party logistics providers and internal logistics operations, optimizing warehousing, transportation, and order fulfillment.
  • Responsible for supporting warehouse and logistics strategies to meet customer contract requirements, global inventory optimization, and SIOP requirements.
  • Responsible for warehouse and logistics processes for Terumo BCT.
  • Responsible for assurance of supply chain compliance in a regulatory environment.
  • Accountable for the successful relationship and contract management of the existing Terumo BCT warehouse and logistics supplier relationships, agreements, processes/systems development and improvement.
  • Accountable and responsible for the overall Terumo BCT business goals and objectives, as well as financial responsibilities and achieving results.
  • Continuously monitoring and analyzing logistics and warehouses performance, identifying areas for improvement in areas like warehouse capacity, last-mile freight, and international freight.
  • Works with internal and/or external resources to resolve problems of exceptional complexity and sensitivity.
  • Participates and promotes staff participation on cross-functional and/or inter organizational teams.
  • Manage and execute budget for areas of responsibility.
  • Acts as the local key contact and handle complex situations while supporting the team in daily execution.
  • Provides internal stakeholders with timely and accurate updates on open orders, backorders, product availability, and lead times.
  • Provides key support and initiative in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
  • Provides support for LATAM and Global Logistics Projects as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

Experience

  • Requires four or more years of experience in warehouse, logistics, and transportation in a Global environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with international and domestic warehouse operations, transportation modes and requirements, international shipping requirements, import/export compliance, and warehouse facility operations.
  • Experience in the medical or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory control methods, inventory expiration requirements, and achieving metrics.
  • Proven leadership abilities demonstrated by developing, coaching, and training others in an organizational setting.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

CTL (Certification in Transportation and Logistics) and / or) CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) preferred
