Summer positions will run May-August 2027. Co-op and Internship positions may extend beyond the summer term depending on the requirements of the academic program and the business. These terms may be 4, 8, 12, or 16 months in length.

To be eligible for the SECURE Student program, you must:

  • Be enrolled in a post-secondary institution and available from May to August.
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada by way of Canadian Citizenship, Permanent residency, or a valid work permit.
  • Complete a Medical and/or Alcohol and Drug test if the role is considered safety-sensitive.

As our Supply Chain and Procurement Student, you will support key services Supply Chain provides to the wider Technical Services team, Operations and Sales. Focused on capital projects, operations projects and wider corporate supply chain functions.

This role is based out of our Brookfield Office in downtown Calgary, Alberta.

The Team

The Supply Chain and Procurement team is a collaborative, high-performing group dedicated to supporting Technical Services, Operations, and Sales through effective sourcing, vendor management, and project support. Focused on delivering excellence across capital and operational projects, the team values proactive problem-solving, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, Monday-to-Friday office-based position in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The student will work closely with Technical Services, Operations, Sales, vendors, and internal stakeholders while managing multiple priorities and supporting capital, operational, and corporate supply chain projects. Occasional travel to field locations and supplier facilities may be required.

A Day in The Life

  • Support sourcing requests from Waste Management and Energy Infrastructure.
  • Support RF(x) process as required.
  • Maintain and administer new and existing service agreements.
  • Produce expediting and receiving reports, trace shipments, expedite undelivered goods, and resolve problems and disputes.
  • Compile KPI statistics on vendor performance, participate in producing vendor scorecards, and work with vendors on performance improvement.
  • Assist in the categorization, sale or re-utilization of inventory equipment.
  • Create and manage the processes related to the project procure-to-pay process in the ERP system – inc. project set up, purchase order creation, receiving, and invoice matching.
  • Vendor management compliance responsibilities for on-site, off-site and SAAS vendors
  • Maintain and manage the master vendor list in the ERP system.
  • Occasional travel to field locations and supplier facilities may be required.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Supply Chain Management
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical thinking and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative mindset and the ability to work well with diverse teams.
  • Initiative: Proactive and self-motivated, with a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
