Job Summary

Manages the storeroom operations within the assigned Operating Company or Region to ensure the business needs of the applicable business unit are met in a safe and cost effective manner. Effectively partners with managers and supervisors of Stores to align material availability with construction/maintenance needs. Actively monitors Supply Chain measures to identify corrective action that are needed to ensure Supply Chain and Business Unit goals are achieved.

Job Description

What you will be doing:

  • Direct the operation of the associated storerooms within the assigned Operating Company or Region.
  • Recommend storeroom staffing, and enhancements to the materials flow process to management.
  • Recommend policies and procedures relating to the proper control of all inventory investments and material services functions. a. SOX Compliance b. Cycle Inventories c. Inactive Material Reviews d. MSDS e. QC
  • Responsible for materials management of M&S, Capital & oversite of plant Direct Charge (proper/safe storage, proper indentification, etc.)
  • Direct and coordinate the Material Management functions between storerooms; act as liaison between Stores Supervisors, Accounting, Procurement, Engineering and Projects Departments.
  • Develop, implement and/or assist in the development and implementation of measurements/goals of storeroom operations. Monitor the results of measures and take appropriate corrective action needed to ensure that Supply Chain and Business Unit goals are achieved.
  • Ensure that storeroom operations comply with corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Establish effective communication channels with internal and external customers around all aspects of the catalog and Inventory Optimization.
  • Support required staffing and materials in support of storm restoration, outage & project requirements of the business unit.
  • Coordinates the training and development of assigned employees in a manner that aggressively migrates culture to a participative, zero harm environment.
  • Development and administer safety programs that aggressively migrates the culture "mind set" to a norm of zero harm.
  • Actively participate in the development and administration of training programs to ensure maximum utilization of available technology and personnel and ensure that employees have the opportunity to develop to their full potential.
  • Foster an environment that embraces diversity of thinking and participative management.
  • Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior and support the Company's Corporate Compliance Policy.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent education and experience.
  • Work Experience requirements listed below: Must have a minimum of ten (10) years business experience in Supply Chain, Distribution, Transmission or Generation positions. Minimum of three (3) years direct supervisory experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Physical demand level is Sedentary
  • Has responsibility for multiple facilities, Hundreds of Millions in Inventory, budget of +$100M material throughput. Position will require travel to various facilities throughout the geographic area of responsibility.
  • Continuous Travel is required.

$136,539.00 - $177,503.00
