Job Description

Location: Remote - Thousand Oaks, CA

Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)

Contract Length: 15 months (possible extension)

Compensation: $34/$39 per hour (based on experience)

Summary of the Role

Join a large biotech pharmaceutical leader's Development Supply Chain Technologies (DSCT) team as a Supply Chain Senior Associate I. You will support SAP and ERP processes related to clinical supply chain planning, customer service, warehousing, and distribution. This fully remote role focuses on data integrity, process management, and supporting clinical supply operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage error messages between Clinical Supply External Trial Operator Staging Tables and SAP system
  • Collaborate with business partners to resolve errors and ensure inventory accuracy across systems
  • Update Clinical Master data in SAP to support accurate and timely shipments to clinical sites
  • Monitor Clinical Data Quality reports in Syniti to ensure SAP data integrity
  • Manage and assign ServiceNow tickets to the correct DSCT resolver and categorize tickets for metrics visibility
  • Maintain DSCT GMP process documents and update the team dashboard using Smartsheet
  • Schedule and manage Order to Cash weekly issues meetings
  • Serve as backup owner for the SAP Clinical Portal for shipment and reconciliation management
  • Handle end of study reconciliation requests

Required Experience & Skills

  • General experience with SAP transactions and master data updates
  • Experience working in regulated environments, preferably in biotech or pharma
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
  • Basic reporting tool proficiency (Excel, Cognos)
  • Ability to manage assigned tickets and documentation with guidance
  • Understanding of supply chain fundamentals and Order to Cash processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP Order to Cash functionality
  • Experience with SAP Plan to Stock functionality
  • Proficiency in data query tools such as Cognos
  • Familiarity with IS management tools (ISM)
  • Experience with computerized system validation testing
  • Experience with Smartsheet, Copilot
  • Exposure to process automation, RPA implementation, or basic AI functionality

Top 3 Must Have Skills

  1. Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of SAP/IS experience, or equivalent per stated combinations
  2. General SAP experience (clinical-specific not required), basic working knowledge of SAP transactions and ticketing systems
  3. General supply chain understanding with exposure to Order to Cash processes

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Resolve system errors between Clinical Supply External Trial Operator Staging Tables and SAP
  • Update and maintain master data in support of clinical shipments
  • Run and interpret Syniti data quality reports for SAP data integrity
  • Provide intake, triage, and assignment for ServiceNow tickets
  • Maintain process documentation, team dashboards, and meeting agendas
  • Participate in weekly Order to Cash issue meetings
  • Support SAP Clinical Portal-related shipment and reconciliation transactions
  • Manage end of study supply reconciliation requests

Basic Qualifications

  • Doctorate or master’s degree and 2 years of SAP and/or IS system experience preferably in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of SAP and/or IS system experience preferably in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • Associate’s degree and 10 years of SAP and/or IS system experience preferably in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of SAP and/or IS system experience preferably in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
