
What are your contributions to the team?
• Understand internal and external customer needs (requirements) by collecting and analyzing data, critically reading contracts and statements of work
• Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external collaborators on plans, technical and commercial aspects.
• Support, where applicable, the Defense Procurement team in establishing sourcing strategies for the development programs.
• Research, analyze and document opportunities in the supply chains process to improve overall supply chain effectiveness.
• Identify and realize total cost optimization opportunities (savings) by product families.
• Negotiate favorable agreement/purchase order terms with suppliers for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies.
• Plan, track, analyze and monitor the balanced scorecard and key performance indicators.
• Represent Supply Chain through the change management process.
• Timely negotiation & closure of impact statement.
• Represent the needs of the Defense Team by attending PMRs in conjunction with Business units.
• Lead/support Request for Proposal (RFP) process (drafting the RFP, etc.).
• Work closely with the buying team on compliance and tracking of purchase orders
• Become knowledgeable on how to place defense purchase orders in SAP.
• You have a bachelor’s degree in business/management or engineering (preferred); other forms of education will be considered.
• You have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in proposal, procurement, or supply chain roles, interacting with varying functions.
• You have demonstrated the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and produce high-quality deliverables.
• You have strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization.
• You are a Canadian permanent resident or Canadian citizen, and can obtain the required security clearances that apply
• You demonstrate exceptional organization in managing documentation and supplier data, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
• You bring strong Supply Chain expertise to international, regulated proposal environments.
• You possess hand-on experience contributing to proposals for advanced aviation platforms.
• You are familiar with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• You have experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry or a government contracting environment.
• You have knowledge of ITAR/EAR regulations, and supply chain security principles.
• You understand cost estimating, supplier negotiations, and BOE development in a defense context.
• You have experience with proposal pricing tools (e.g., ProPricer) and reporting dashboards (e.g., Power BI).
Please note that this is a Montreal-based role that requires on-site presence at least two (2) days per week, sometimes more, based on business needs and the applicable policy.
Up to 10% domestic and/or international travel may be required to support trade shows, supplier meetings, and site visits.
Candidates must be able to work in English and French; an ability to work in additional languages is an advantage.
