About This Role
Carrier is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist – Data Center to support the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of supply-chain capabilities for Carrier’s rapidly growing data center HVAC solutions business.
This role is ideal for an early-career supply-chain professional who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to work at the intersection of manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and program management in support of mission-critical infrastructure.
The Supply Chain Specialist will help ensure material availability, supplier readiness, and execution discipline for complex, high-reliability data center programs, supporting on-time delivery, cost targets, and quality standards.
Supply Chain Planning & Readiness
Support material planning and readiness assessments for data center HVAC programs, including chillers, air handlers, and supporting systems
Assist with supplier capacity, lead-time, and risk evaluations for critical components (e.g., compressors, controls, power electronics, heat exchangers)
Track and report supply-chain readiness metrics for new programs and customer projects
Supplier & Procurement Support
Collaborate with procurement and supplier quality teams to support supplier onboarding, sourcing transitions, and qualification activities
Help maintain supplier data, BOMs, and sourcing records to ensure accuracy and alignment with engineering releases
Support mitigation plans for material shortages, long lead items, and geopolitical or tariff-related risks
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, program management, and logistics teams to align supply-chain plans with production and project schedules
Participate in program reviews, readiness meetings, and issue-resolution forums
Help translate engineering and customer requirements into executable supply-chain actions
Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Build and maintain dashboards and reports related to lead times, supplier performance, inventory health, and program readiness
Analyze data to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities in supply-chain execution
Support continuous-improvement initiatives focused on resilience, scalability, and speed-to-market for data center solutions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, procurement, manufacturing, or logistics (internships and co-ops included)
1+ year of analytics and data-management experience (Excel required; exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools a plus)
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree
Exposure to manufacturing, engineered-to-order products, or capital equipment
Basic understanding of data centers, critical infrastructure, or HVAC systems (or strong interest in learning)
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Familiarity with supply-chain concepts such as lead-time analysis, capacity planning, inventory management, and risk mitigation
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, program-driven environment
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions
