What you’ll do

  • Procurement Management: Manage day-to-day purchasing of materials, supplies, tools, services, and maintenance requirements to ensure timely availability for rebuild, repair, warehouse, and fabrication operations.
  • Vendor Relations: Select and maintain relationships with vendors based on quality, delivery, and pricing; conduct ongoing negotiations and vendor onboarding to optimize supply chain performance.
  • Inventory & Planning: Use SAP and ERP systems to manage MRP requirements, place purchase orders, expedite shipments, and coordinate stock transfers across Weir facilities to reduce operational bottlenecks.
  • Operational Support: Collaborate daily with operational leaders and internal stakeholders to resolve supply constraints, support service center planning, and improve responsiveness to customer commitments.
  • Cost Control & Market Analysis: Develop and audit cost control measures for assigned commodities; track and evaluate market trends to inform procurement strategies.
  • Technical Engagement: Gain technical knowledge of products and cost drivers; facilitate supplier technical seminars to enhance mutual understanding between suppliers and Weir teams.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness and ability to travel as necessary to maintain vendor relationships and support operational needs.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you’ll bring
Must-haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Technical Degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong SAP experience and proficiency with ERP systems.
  • Purchasing, buying, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills with strong spreadsheet and administrative capabilities.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with Coupa or Oracle ERP platforms.
  • Customer service experience and familiarity with accounting or invoice reconciliation.
  • Supply chain certification such as CPSM.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple functions and manage competing priorities effectively.
