This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Supply Chain Senior Business Analyst / Consultant based in India.
This role offers the opportunity to support complex supply chain transformation initiatives by combining consulting expertise, business analysis, and technology-driven solution design.
You will work with clients and cross-functional teams to translate operational challenges into scalable, data-enabled supply chain solutions.
The position requires strong supply chain domain knowledge, analytical thinking, and the ability to bridge business needs with technology capabilities.
You will contribute across presales, discovery, requirements analysis, solution design, and implementation support activities.
The role provides exposure to advanced supply chain platforms, analytics, AI-enabled solutions, and enterprise transformation programs.
You will play a key role in helping organizations improve visibility, efficiency, and decision-making across their supply chain operations.
Accountabilities:
The Supply Chain Senior Business Analyst / Consultant will support end-to-end consulting engagements by combining supply chain expertise, business analysis, and stakeholder management skills. The role involves working across strategy, solutioning, presales, and delivery activities to create practical, technology-enabled improvements.
- Support presales activities for supply chain transformation and technology consulting engagements.
- Contribute to RFP/RFI responses, proposals, solution narratives, effort estimates, assumptions, and delivery approaches.
- Collaborate with sales teams, solution architects, and delivery teams to create compelling client solutions and presentations.
- Participate in client discovery sessions, workshops, demonstrations, and solution walkthroughs.
- Develop consulting assets, frameworks, accelerators, and service offerings related to supply chain transformation.
- Lead or support requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders across supply chain functions.
- Analyze current-state processes, identify gaps, and recommend opportunities for operational improvement.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, business rules, and solution documentation.
- Perform fit-gap analysis between business requirements and technology platform capabilities.
- Support future-state process design, operating model definition, and solution architecture discussions.
- Collaborate with technical teams on data requirements, integrations, analytics, reporting, testing, and deployment activities.
- Define KPIs, dashboards, and analytics requirements to improve supply chain visibility and decision-making.
- Support UAT planning, test case development, business validation, and defect resolution activities.
- Facilitate workshops, executive discussions, and stakeholder alignment sessions.
- Communicate complex business and technology concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an experienced supply chain consulting professional with strong business analysis capabilities and the ability to deliver technology-enabled transformation solutions.
- 8–10+ years of experience in business analysis, supply chain consulting, digital transformation, or technology implementation roles.
- Strong end-to-end understanding of supply chain operations and the ability to connect processes across different functional areas.
- Experience across supply chain domains such as demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, warehousing, order management, or supply chain design.
- Proven experience supporting client-facing consulting engagements involving digital transformation, analytics, and complex technology environments.
- Hands-on experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, fit-gap analysis, functional documentation, and stakeholder management.
- Experience contributing to presales activities, proposals, RFP responses, solution presentations, and consulting initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively with business teams, IT teams, architects, data specialists, analytics teams, and delivery organizations.
- Strong knowledge of business analysis techniques, including process mapping, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, functional specifications, and UAT support.
- Understanding of enterprise application landscapes involving ERP systems, planning platforms, data platforms, and integration layers.
- Experience working with supply chain technology platforms such as o9 Solutions, Kinaxis RapidResponse, Blue Yonder, SAP IBP, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle SCM Cloud, Anaplan, E2open, or similar solutions is a plus.
- Familiarity with analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is beneficial.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar business analysis tools.
- Excellent client-facing communication, presentation, facilitation, and storytelling skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and develop clear recommendations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications such as MBA, APICS CPIM/CSCP, PMP, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma, or supply chain professional certifications are preferred.
