About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a program manager on the Supply Chain Operations team, you will be responsible for on time and predictable material supply operations to support network deployments across Google Global Networking's (GGN) network of data centers, and edge locations. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams to facilitate developing end to end strategies that connect our demand, supply, inventory, data center labor and deployment planning. You will work with a truly cross-functional team of internal (capacity deployment team, supply planning, commodity management, data center labor, and logistics teams) and external (network installation vendors, and 3Ps) stakeholders to deliver optimal solutions to meet customer demand, and will lead prioritization and allocation decisions as needed.

This role requires an individual to leverage strategic and end to end thought leadership. Successful individuals in this role have strong delivery operations backgrounds while being expert communicators and leaders. They are comfortable with working independently, in ambiguous and complex environments. They also have the ability to handle multiple programs at the same time while being highly customer focused.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end order lifecycle, ensuring material delivery aligns with forecasted capacity and deployment schedules across network locations.
  • Execute timely order placement and supply-demand balancing while proactively mitigating demand upsides and fulfillment risks for 90–180 day horizons.
  • Lead supply-aware re-prioritization efforts with customers to navigate competing demands and ensure last-mile delivery remains off the critical path.
  • Manage open order book reviews and cross-functional partnerships with global logistics and data center teams to guarantee on-time shipping and delivery.
  • Identify root causes of operational bottlenecks, implement corrective actions, and track key metrics to ensure high-visibility performance in a fast-paced environment. Utilize ERP and planning tools (e.g., SAP, O9) for data-driven daily decision-making while driving workflows through collaborative stakeholders and vendor engagement.
