The primary purpose of this position is to perform SCM tasks in cooperation with and support of NASSCO’s new construction and repair programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: procurement tasks, contract negotiation, program estimates-at-completion (EACs), material forecasting, cost and price analysis, peer audit, material quality management and supplier performance management. The SCP 2 will implement and ensure department compliance with policies and procedures through internal reviews and audits. The SCP 2 will analyze, plan, coordinate, and implement external transportation requirements necessary to support the material delivery function.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
Under general supervision, conduct all aspects of acquisition, manage suppliers and/or perform related inventory/supply analyst functions and cost analyst functions for government and commercial programs and capital projects.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work primarily conducted in an office setting with good lighting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing. Must be physically able to commute to buildings throughout the shipyard. Occasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Accountable for supporting the internal customer through the on-time procurement and delivery of materials and services of the right quantity, quality, and best value for NASSCO in accordance with the standards of conduct and acquisition.
Pay scale: $68,100 - $96,600
This pay range is a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. It takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and education.
