Supply Chain Product Engineer

• This role is responsible for overseeing multiple project teams through the entire development lifecycle, by applying advanced subject matter knowledge. The role encompasses assessing engineering deliverables, ensuring alignment with guidelines and standards, and enhancing product quality. The role collaborates with customer engineering management to comprehend and document client priorities and requirements, while also driving innovation and technology integration for Desktop products.

Responsibilities
• Leads multiple project teams of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of development across multiple engineering disciplines for complex products, platforms, systems, software, and technology solutions.

• Evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality, product cost & Manufacturing processes (DFM).

• Drives a diverse engineering team to resolve product issues during the production stage, including production recovery and issue preventive actions
• Reviews and governs the technical quality of engineering deliverables from the project teams.
• Works closely with R&D and other engineering teams to interpret and implement product scope and requirements.

• Expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on engineering design and development.
• Provides domain-specific expertise and overall engineering leadership and perspective to cross- organization projects, programs, and activities.
• Drives innovation and integration of new technologies (NUDs) into projects and activities in the engineering design organization.

• Exercises independent judgment in resolving product issues.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of engineering design innovation and excellence.

Location Requirement:
Candidates must reside within Taiwan or Singapore. HP is not able to provide relocation assistance for this role.


Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10 years of work experience, preferably in engineering design, engineering design tools and software packages, or a related field.

• Familiar with PC product R&D or manufacturing process


Preferred Certifications
• Six Sigma Certification

• Project Management Certification

Knowledge & Skills
• Computer debugging and troubleshooting skills - HW, SW/FW & BIOS

• PCA Manufacturing Process - i.e. SMT, ICT, ATE

• Process Automation/Manufacturing Automation

• Program Management

• Able to read and update product schematics

Supply Chain and/or manufacturing process

Test Strategy

• AI & ML - Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
Python|JavaScript|SQL (Programming Language)
