Supply Chain - Piney Flats, TN
Bring your experience and ideas and help us bring the highest quality products and service to our customers. In this position, you will negotiate and administer complex subcontracts and uses discretionary latitude to negotiate financial, contractual, technical terms, conditions, and provisions to establish and maintain major subcontracts.
What you’ll be doing as a Supply Chain Professional
Execute standard purchasing procedures within an assigned commodity to ensure the timely delivery of supplies and materials.
Serve as key interface for subcontract administration of major systems and complex components for aircraft production, product upgrade and new program development.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to, purchase order management, competitive pricing adherence, inventory analysis, new supplier qualification and negotiation of long-term agreements.
Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to facilitate cost reduction initiatives that enhance overall affordability and quality of our aircraft.
Utilize discretionary latitude within approved purchasing procedures and compliance for all contractual obligations regarding Bell Helicopter and the Supplier. Establish and maintain comprehensive and current subcontracts that adhere to program requirements and obligations.
As required, obtain and furnish supplier data to other functional disciplines and IBP (Integrated Business Planning) management.

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Technology, or relevant fields
2+ years of experience in purchasing, strategic sourcing, commodity management, contract administration, financial analysis, cost analysis, or commodity/raw materials pricing
Experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and act on complex data
Self‑motivated with demonstrated initiative and follow‑through
Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a professional office environment and perform job duties using a computer for extended periods.
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods during meetings, computer work, and supplier interactions.
Occasional walking, bending, reaching, or lifting of office materials, documents, or small packages (typically up to 20 lbs.).
Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written means, including phone, email, and in‑person discussions.
Ability to review detailed technical, contractual, and financial documents, requiring visual acuity and sustained concentration.
Ability to participate in collaborative problem-solving sessions, sometimes in fast‑paced or time‑sensitive environments.
Ability to wear all required PPE specific to job duties or as required in the facility.
Ability to work in environment with exposure to various chemicals, dust and odors, and various machine heat cycles
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues
Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed
