As a Planning COE SME, you will be at the core of this transformation — designing and deploying the next generation of planning capabilities that decide what to stock, where, and when.

Job scope/summary:

The role is responsible for owning and evolving planning capabilities within a defined domain (e.g., inventory, deployment, lifecycle) across the Service Supply Chain Planning COE. The position operates with a high degree of ownership, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver complex initiatives and continuous improvements across planning processes, systems, and data while ensuring alignment with business goals, customer needs, and operational performance.

The role combines:

  • Process ownership — ensuring robust, efficient, and scalable planning processes

  • Project leadership and stakeholder collaboration — delivering transformation initiatives and business outcomes

  • Product ownership contribution — supporting the evolution of planning tools and solutions

The role partners across functions to solve complex challenges, brings together diverse perspectives, and enables informed decision-making through data-driven insights, clear options, and practical recommendations. In addition, the role contributes to team capability development by mentoring colleagues, encouraging knowledge sharing, and promoting best practices across the COE.

Job specifics/responsibilities:

Project / Program Management

  • Coordinate and guide complex transformation initiatives or programs across planning domain

  • Define and manage project scope, milestones, risks, and dependencies

  • Structure complex problems and translate them into clear workstreams and deliverables

  • Foster alignment and collaboration across stakeholders

  • Support informed decision-making and shared understanding:

    • Structured analysis

    • Clear options and trade-offs

    • Actionable recommendations

  • Manage program governance, reporting, and communication

  • Ensure delivery of measurable business outcomes (service, inventory, cost)

  • Coordinate with IT and partners (e.g., PTC) to ensure proper solution delivery

Process Ownership

  • Contribute to the design and improvement of planning processes within initiatives

  • Ensure proposed solutions are aligned with standardized and scalable processes

  • Support process documentation and adoption within the transformation scope

  • Provide process expertise to ensure end-to-end consistency across planning areas

  • Support KPI definition and tracking within initiatives

Key deliverables/accountabilities:

  • Delivery of complex initiatives and workstreams within Planning COE

  • Improvement of process performance and KPI outcomes (service, inventory, cost)

  • Implementation and adoption of standardized and integrated processes

  • Delivery and adoption of planning solutions aligned with business needs

  • Contribution to COE capability maturity and knowledge sharing

- Technology vendors and partners

Education (degree) and professional experience required:

Bachelor or Master degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field. Typically 7–10+ years of experience in supply chain planning or related roles, including:

  • Process improvement or ownership

  • Project or program management

  • Exposure to systems/tools and transformation initiatives.

Other requirements:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to operate in complex and ambiguous environments

Personal skills and qualities:

• Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills across functions

• Ability to simplify complex topics and communicate clear recommendations to diverse audiences

• Collaborative mindset with an interest in building partnerships and supporting team success

• Ability to mentor, coach, and support the growth and development of others

• Comfortable working in evolving and ambiguous environments while remaining flexible and open to new perspectives

• Commitment to continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and improvement

Technical skills (procedures and documents the employee has to be acquainted with):

  • ERP / planning tools (SAP, Servigistics)

  • Data analysis

  • Project/Program management methodologies
