
Inside the Role
Responsible for long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues and production location decisions in support of business goals. Supports business execution of new programs and initiatives that include promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, new product launches, and network redesigns. Monitors key sales and operations planning performance indicators, cost-to-serve performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.

Position offers a starting salary range of $7 8,000 - $100,000 USD

What You Drive at DTNA
Embrace an entrepreneurial work methodology for the oversight of DTNA’s $600 million North America Transportation Networks.
Continually monitor the performance and cost of the North America Transportation Networks through the utilization of existing cost and performance KPI’s and the deployment of additional KPI’s required to achieve best in class quality of service.
Working directly with service providers, plants, and suppliers, to manage the continual improvement (CI) of the North America Transportation Services Provider network through the identification and resolution of systemic service performance issues.
Support key in-transit visibility initiatives by ensuring the electronic transmission via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) or Application Programming Interface (API) of transportation milestones and events.
Supervise and support the shipping method of the DTNA Suppliers of Materials according to the existent Shipping instructions. Provide a solution if the instructions are non-existent.
Aid Suppliers with materials when they need to expedite material into Daimler Mx or US Plants.
Provide leadership to Daimler Operations when new or existing Regulations affect the transportation network. Ex: Carta Porte, Aviso de Cruce, NOM 087, etc… and assign responsibilities to any 3PL that is required to report advances.
All efforts realized upon functions mentioned above must be reported to Management according to criticality.

Knowledge You Should Bring
BS/BA in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or International Commerce required and prefer 2-4 years of relevant experience OR 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree required.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Software products skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
Ability to organize, scrub, manage, and analyze complex data sets to present summary message.
Strong self-initiative and ability to communicate effectively through oral presentations and written reports.
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
Master’s degree in business, logistics, or related field.
Experience in project management, procurement planning, contract negotiations, carrier management, transportation planning, process mapping, and logistics analysis.
Previous experience in a large truck manufacturing company.
