Job Description

Job Location: IL - Elgin, IL 60120
Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 SalaryPrimary Purpose: The Supply Planner, Co-Man will ensure the optimal flow of finished goods for our company’s operations by planning production of right amount of product, at the right cost, the right time, and in the right location.  You will perform inventory planning duties including, but not limited to, analyzing inventory levels, managing short, medium and long-range planning, optimizing co-man production scheduling and deployment, rebalancing inventories and supporting new product launches.  To succeed in this role, you should be professional, highly analytical, and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily analysis of finished goods inventory based on forecasted and historical sales for Schuman manufacturing and co-manufacturer sites
- Execute purchase, tolling, work and transfer orders
- Develop a supply plan to ensure optimal inventory levels
- Support the Co-Man Supply Planning Manager with data, insights and analytics
- Minimize excess and obsolete inventory – lead team and cross-functional inquiries, working directly with SC and Warehouse/3PL leadership to move inventory
- Develop and maintain close working relationships within the organization and to our various 3rd parties
- Investigate any inventory or data issues by performing a root cause analysis and implementing solutions to improve the department’s performance and solve chronic performance issues
- Analyze inventory levels and identify any areas of risk; communicate risks in a timely manner to appropriate members of the SC team and organization
- Analyze and interpret multiple sources of data and create ad hoc reporting when needed
- Participate in new product development meetings and provide guidance on arrival of key materials
- Support inventory strategies for Holiday and Promotional campaigns

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; willing to communicate with personnel in our manufacturing facilities, 3PL locations, sales team members, etc.
- Understanding of Excel (pivot tables, index matches, V/H-lookup, IF statements is a must)
- Supports organization’s desire for continuous improvement
- Demonstrates general understanding of Supply Chain concepts
Supervisory Responsibility:
No direct supervision required.

Work Environment:
Typical office working environment which includes a workstation equipped with a computer and other office supplies necessary for daily tasks.  Typically climate-controlled to provide a comfortable working temperature year-round.  Lighting is usually a mix of natural and artificial sources to ensure sufficient lamination.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time salaried position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Expectations of 45 hours per week, to be worked during normal business hours.

8. Reaching and Bending: Reaching above shoulder height and bending to access files and office supplies.

Compensation and Benefits:
The budgeted salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000, with a 10% annual bonus potential.
