Your Role and Responsibilities:

The role has broad decision-making ability to set optimal inventory levels to support the business and is critically involved in both the Demand and Supply conversations of our SIOP process. The Supply Chain Planner is involved in both the day-to-day execution of plans, as well as the development of longer-term Supply Chain strategies.

  • Manage demand insights derived from SIOP Demand Review with Sales and incorporate into generating accurate forecasts, reorder points, and Min/Max targets per the specified inventory strategy

  • Set Supply Planning strategy based on inventory segmentation (A/B/C), lead-time, and vendor schedules to ensure healthy inventory levels and optimize transportation fleet and warehouse assets

  • Manage inventory levels of stocked items, maintain within given targets, and replenish at required frequencies to hit company DOH and Turns targets

  • Use a data driven analytical approach to recommend and execute stocking and replenishment strategies taking into account customer demand shifts and seasonal fluctuations

  • Identify potential slow moving and expiring items to reduce inventory builds and work with the Sales and Sourcing organizations to carry out depletion and clean up strategies

  • Participate in both the SIOP Demand and Supply Reviews. For Demand Review, identify out of tolerance forecasted items and their drivers and work with cross-functional partners to gain insights on business and market changes and future demand expectations. For Supply Review, provide supply outlook and constraints and propose mitigation plans to reduce supply risk

  • Place and manage purchase orders with vendors and resolve front line issues with vendors, such as delivery issues, quantity, or pricing discrepancies

  • Analyze historical data, new insights, and other data to create optimal operating recommendations

  • Manage system parameters to ensure optimal recommendations and management of demand, order recommendations, and inventory targets

  • Participate in the development and deployment of new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Dashboards, and Continuous Improvement initiatives

  • Build strong working relationships both internally with cross-functional partners and externally with vendors to optimize flow of product and information and reduce redundancy and re-work
