Supply Chain Ops – Parts Delivery Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Ops – Parts Delivery Manager to join the Defence team in Bristol.

As P&C Manager, you will be the primary interface with International Partners and work holistically across the Rolls-Royce Supply Chain. You will provide functional coaching and support to the Planning Delivery Leads (PDLs) within Defence Future Programmes.

This role is focused on planning and controlling parts delivery for Future Programmes, from the first demonstrator through the engine development programme and into industrialisation and production.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain breadth, working with the diverse portfolio of Defence products, as well as working with Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) and our key suppliers. You will develop a wide network of Supply Chain Operations Managers, IPTs and Value Stream Managers within the Manufacturing Facilities and Defence Business.

What you will be doing:

• Making sure any schedule changes that impact the supplier or customer are ‘commitment accepted’ resulting from ad hoc or SORB schedule changes.

• Coaching Defence MRPc’s to ensure relevant P&C processes are understood and followed.

• Ensuring credible and accurate information is maintained in SAP and is compliant with ERP principles.

• Highlighting risks to supply from IPT suppliers and following up through appropriate escalation routes to ensure issues are brought to a satisfactory conclusion.

• Ensuring suppliers within the IPT have appropriate, robust and credible supply plans in place, driven by customer requirements and aligned with feasible load and capacity planning.

• Driving actions to ensure on-time delivery is achieved by suppliers through cross-functional IPT collaboration with P&C, MEP, SQE, Buyers and Designers.

• Leading or facilitating a cross-functional IPT for complex issues that cross multiple areas of the business or complex supply chains crossing multiple SCUs or make plants.

• Championing and facilitating appropriate root cause analysis through the use of simple problem-solving tools or a Delivery Failure Investigation where appropriate.

Position Qualifications:

• A strong desire to make a difference and gain breadth and visibility across the Defence Business and MBUs.

• Ability to work collaboratively across Integrated Project Teams, suppliers and the wider Rolls-Royce Supply Chain.

• Ability to communicate effectively and support the resolution and escalation of supply chain issues.

• Supply Chain Management experience

• SC clearance is a requirement for this role.

Preferred Requirements:

• Operations Management experience.

• Experience leading projects and cross-functional teams.

• Experience using an ERP system.
