We have an exciting opportunity for an MRO Supply Chain Operations Manager to join our Aftermarket Operations team.

With an expanding Overhaul Base Network and a flying fleet that requires our continued support, we are growing our Planning & Control (P&C) team in Aftermarket Operations within Civil Aerospace.

We are responsible for managing the end to end supply and demand processes across our global Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Network and ensuring that our Engines return back to our customers as efficiently as possible. As our customer demand continues to increase, it’s an exciting time to join a growing, high-performing team, to enable Civil Aerospace Aftermarket Operations to deliver.

As the MRO Supply Chain Operations Manager, reporting to the VP Supply Control, you will be responsible for facilitating key enablers in our organisation to drive operational excellence.

Accountabilities

  • Provide operational input to support Sales & Operations Planning activities as required.
  • ​Impartially co-ordinate supply to ensure the best possible customer and business outcome for Rolls-Royce.
  • ​Lead the operational drive within the business to credibly execute the plans, ensuring delivery of customer requirements.
  • For parts that are driving hazard into the operational plan you will consolidate a supply line of balance across repair and new supply.
  • ​Drive the 4 week kitting plan for all engines within your accountability to make sure all requirements are understood and aligned with a clear supply plan. Any gaps need to be escalated accordingly.
  • ​Ensure robust plans are in place to facilitate supplier recovery. Ensure awareness at both the Overhaul Base and the value streams and that mitigations and recovery plans are being driven through governance and escalation.
  • ​Ensure all supply chain risks that have potential to impact delivery are identified, prioritised and escalated, where appropriate within the wider organisation.
  • Work side by side with the Value Stream SCOM’s / Engine Clearance teams to ensure 100% alignment on priority engines and allocation of parts.
  • ​Ensure appropriate, standard physical logistics solutions are deployed across the business.
  • Work cross functionally to ensure that (wherever necessary) the right priorities are being worked and kept track of.

Position Qualifications:

  • Knowledge / understanding of OE Engine Build Sequencing and Services Engine Repair and Overhaul.
  • Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification (eg. APICS).
  • Proven leadership qualities through ability to influence outside area of direct control.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver under challenging circumstances.
  • Broad understanding of different roles / functions / processes (e.g. Manufacturing, Purchase, NPI, ME etc).

Preferred Requirements:

  • Implemented improvement activity, participated in dealing with change (e.g. process, organisation).
  • ​Experience of production planning and control processes.
  • Knowledge of and working experience with MRP systems.
  • MS Office or equivalent working skills.
