Job Description

• Lead and manage material shortages / allocations to ensure supply for Schaeffler AG production locations and the customer and initiate measures to eliminate bottlenecks in the supply chain
• Work closely together with suppliers as well as sales, planning, production, plant logistics, purchasing e.g. to ensure supply stability and resilience
• Focus on cost-effective and environmentally conscious measures while eliminating supply bottlenecks
• Work extensively with the SAP/ERP, MSM system to analyze material needs and preferred suppliers (possible 2nd sources) of manufacturing locations worldwide
• Process, performance and reporting responsibility regarding the allocations managed
• Promote continuous improvement with strategic suppliers
• Strategic alignment with Purchasing and long-term Demand Management for identifying missing capacity at suppliers incl. triggering of countermeasures if potential shortages are identified
• Support PTN (Product Termination Notification) process with focus on supporting plants in Bridge-buy / All-time-buy decisions
• Close cooperation with Risk management to implement proactive measures for the prevention of potential supply shortages driven by e.g. geo-hazard /-political risks

Job Requirements

• Academic degree in Economics, Business Administration or comparable qualification
• Long-term professional experience in Supply Chain management in automotive industry
• Very good knowledge in MS Office needed, Power BI and SAP skills are desirable
• Fluent English skills, written and spoken. German skills are of advantage
• Willingness to travel (~15%)
• High degree of flexibility, operational readiness and assertiveness
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills as well as intercultural sensitivity
